The history of the “Newport Folk Festival” dates back to 1959. Since 1959, Joan Baez’s career began on it. She, in fact, pulled this curly boy into the light of day, then known to everyone as Bob Dylan (Bob Dylan). In 1967, director Murray Lerner shoots the documentary “Festival!”, As you might have guessed, about the same festival of the period 1963-66, i.e. about its members: Johnny Cash, Joan Baez, Pete Seeger, Odetta, etc.
After thirty years, only Bob Dylan becomes the main character. Here you will be able to observe the formation, maturation and acquisition of “your own path” of the protagonist. Formerly known as an acoustic bard, he performed with a rock band playing electric instruments. In one evening, from a folk troubadour, he turned into a rock and roll star.
