Shadow & The Thrill (Great White) – Sugarbowl 2020 Digi Limited

Shadow & The Thrill featuring former Great White bassist and current Jack Russell’s Great White guitarist / keyboardist Tony Montana will be releasing their debut album Sugarbowl via Deko Entertainment on August 14, 2020.

Title track “Sugarbowl” is one of my favorites, a bluesy midtempo melodic rocker with the feel of Night Ranger’s album Feeding Off The Mojo, atmospheric, meaty, where Cardenas-Montana’s pristine voice shines.

“Misery” is a gargantuan-sounding slice of soulfully sinuous groove-based blues rock, at places resembling Badlands. There’s a kicking energy to “Shake the Devil”, and we have a wild cover of Tommy Bolin’s “The Grind,” greatly arranged and executed.
We have as well an incredible renditio

Big Wha-Koo were a Los Angeles, California-based soft rock ensemble formed in 1975 under the leadership of singer, songwriter and guitarist Danny Douma. Douma assembled an entourage of veteran musicians that included David Palmer, who had sung lead vocals on two tracks of Steely Dan’s debut album Can’t Buy a Thrill, Nick Van Maarth, from Buddy Holly’s backup band, The Crickets, Don Francisco, formerly of Crowfoot and Atlee and British blues man Andy Silvester, formerly of Savoy Brown. L.A.-based session musician Reinie Press, bass player on many of Neil Diamond’s most successful recordings, contributed bass and saxophone on two tracks on the band’s 1977 debut album, The Big Wha-Koo for ABC Records. Lee Ritenour also was featured playing guitar on the songs “Whiskey Voices&#8221

TURBOSNAKE – BIG THINGS COMING 2020 EP

While Steel Panther strive to beat a sexual parody of a horse to death, album after album, and copycats like Germany’s Pussies on The Dancefloor and Japan’s Tokyo Spandixxx fight to be something other than smutty wannabes, Canada’s Turbosnake come off more heartfelt, fun tribute than satirical jokesters.
