This is an artist and an album of which I can find only few facts on the net. What caught my attention is the musicians involved which on 8 of the tracks includes well known artists Michael Landau, Buzzy Feiten, Nathan East & Jay Winding.
My Personal guess is that it was the common case of a record company taking too much control of the creative process.
Enid Levine from Passaic, New Jersey apparently caught the attention when her song “Hi-Fidelity” was included on the first “The Kids From Fame” album (1982). When she then had a minor hit with the song “American Love” (video can be found on youtube) they decided to invest in the artist, sending her to Los Angeles and booking skilled session musicians for the recordings.
The overall result is a nice alb
The album was reissued on CD in remastered form for its 40th anniversary in 2020 by Cleveland International Records with a bonus CD of previously unreleased outtakes and demos.
