Foreigner is an American hard rock sextet that was formed in 1976 by Mick Jones (formerly with George Harrison) and Ian MacDonald of King Crimson. Their first six albums (1977-1984) went multi-platinum and overall sold better in the US than their hard rock competitors. The group continues to exist to this day, but only Jones remained from the original lineup.
