Peter Hans – Lead guitar
Peter was born and raised in Minnesota and had a passion and understanding of music long before he had ever picked up an instrument. As a child, drawing pictures of guitars, microphones, and P.A. columns sparked his interest to learn how to play music and follow a path laid before him. In his elementary years, Peter was inspired by his older brother and would listen to him play in garage bands…and this is where it all began! His passion for the guitar was all consuming and intoxicating. After graduating High School, Peter began to play in bands and has played for a variety of original rock groups all over Minnesota and other states such as Colorado, Florida and California. In college Peter studied music theory and music therapy and since has even given giving guitar lessons as well as volunteered his time and talents to enhance the lives of people with physical and mental disabilities, by performing at Health Centers and Nursing homes. Peter Hans is a highly seasoned live and studio musician, and has performed concerts opening for national acts such as Cheap Trick, Joan Jett, Lynard Skynard and Hank Williams Jr…to name only a few.
Peter is a passionate musician who can rock anything with strings on it! Peter’s versitile and complex style is unique and creative, giving Crimson Fool their energenic sound! But… when Peter hits the stage, he becomes “Guitwaro” – A super rock guitar villian who creates musical mayhem whereever he goes. With “Jessica” (his guitar that is possesed by the spirits of guitarists past) Guitwaro is able to collect the energy and life force of listeners through the screams of his guitar, giving him immortality while feeding his guitar “Jessica” with greater strength and power of persuasion. Together Guitwaro and “Jessica” create a mass hysteria of music driven fanatics, following Guitwaro’s every command. From banging their heads to “throwing the sign” of rock-n-roll, Guitwaro has total control of their minds, hearts and will.
David Lee – Bassist
David grew up in a small town in a very musical family. David grew up listening to his dad played guitar, keyboards and accordian, while his brothers played guitar and perfomed in coffee houses throughout their college years. David not only had a passion for music, but writing as well and began writing poetry while in high school. David moved to La Crosse, Wisconsin (secret music mecca of the United States) and because of his love of the band Motley Crue (and bassist/lyricist Nikki Sixx’s songwriting ability) at age 18 David started playing bass and honing his songwriting skills. David expanded his musical knowlege by playing in cover bands and exploring blues, funk and jazz bass. David ended up meeting and teaming up with guitar virtuoso Peter Hans, and they instantly became friends, forming a bond that you can still see and hear today.
Many songs written, musical styles played and life experiences later, David found his own “style” of playing and songwriting, and financed the recording of Crimson Fool’s album “Sinergy” at Brett Huus’s Grammy winning – Soundstrations Studios in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Although David is a well known performer, producer and studio musician, but very few know of David Lee’s other personality…”Faultline”. After David was misdiagnosed with insanity because of his “outside of the box” way of thinking, he had undergone thousands of hours of psycho analysis, causing him to learn clinical psychology through what can only be described as osmosis. During these sessions, David took refuge in another personality known as Faultline; a crazy rock bassist who can psychologically read individuals wants and deepest desires. Faultline’s deep bass riffs and booming grooves can actually cause earthquakes, as well as adrenaline to be released and flow freely through the bodies of whoever hears his bass. With hearts racing, shallow breathing and senses heightend, Faultine can cause women to literally be swept off thier feet and fall in love with the music of Crimson Fool…when he makes the earth actually move for them!
