Cosmic Machine -There and Back Again 2012

now!

mixture of different sonic time periods, “There and Back Again” combines the melodic bass lines of the 70’s and 80’s, the pulsating drum beats of 90’s punk rock and a guitar and vocal style similar to bands like Death Cab for Cutie and The Smiths.

After a year and a half of writing music, Bay Area rock band, Cosmic Machine, materializes onto the music scene with their first full-length effort, There and Back Again. A collection of personal experiences written by frontman, Andrew Amoranto, their debut album plays a game of push and pull both musically and lyrically with subjects ranging from the nostalgic memories of childhood to what it truly means to be emotionally stable. Recorded and mixed at Airship Laboratories, There and Back Again is a shining example of a fully polished and produced pop record created by a group of ordinary individuals. From the soaring sing-a-long chorus of their first single, “Where the Wild Ones Go”, to the 90’s rock ballad inspired title track, “There and Back Again”, Cosmic Machine combines a wide spectrum of sonic time periods in order to produce a grounded, yet out of this world sound.
