Now onto ‘Rockville II’ – as mentioned above ‘High’ is from Steve & Pete’s ‘Brass Monkey’ album and here it fits in nicely with the FM sound, and I must admit it sounds almost like Go West, and Steve almost reminds me of Peter Cox (which is no bad thing). Now with most second CDs on albums these days there is a marked decrease in the quality of the songs but not in this case as the band serve up something special and with songs such as ‘Bad Addiction’ and ‘Guilty’ the band have released some of their best work… I even feel that ‘Guilty’ would be playlisted by most of the main commercial radio stations out there, especially after their Radio 2 playlist success of ‘Hollow’ and ‘Bring Back Yesterday’.
Originally only available as part of the PledgeMusic 2CD ‘Rockville’ package, the standalone release of ‘Rockville II’ is welcomed as anyone who knows FM will agree that, with this pair of albums, the band are on to a winner!
