The sextet, composed of Clement Marsé in song, Franck Dibari in keyboards, Mickael Raverdino in the bass, Guillaume Moreno to the battery, Aldebaran and Philippe Gabison in guitars, is influenced by one put together such as Symphony X, Bread Of Salvation, Dream Theather, or, still Génésis, while visiting again the fantastic atmosphere of Lovecraft, and, the world science fiction of Arthur Clarke…
In May, 2009, goes out their first album, called Lifeless Océan who allows to define the music of Continuum as being a Symphonic Metal, Dark, Heavy, Speed and Melodic. October, 2012, return to studios to record this From The Dephts. From starts him with Pollution, one has the right to a long intro planante, constructed in the synthé by Franck, interrupted by sharp agreements of guitar, followed by the other guitar which carves a hypnotic phrasing. Any entraine the bass and the battery on a jerky tempo, before taking another speed of cruise. The clear and loud voice of Clement comes to come along on top of this wild battle. The same symphonic approach with From The Dephts, the eponymous piece of the album, where the voice of Clement speaks in Frenchman, and, where, guitar riffs machine-gun every way, as well as Dreams Of Cyclopean Inferno with his female chorus and his chorus of shredder. In a darker climate, in fantastic style, Introduction Of A New Eon with its tones Purple / Uriah Heep is found, good breakées by Guillaume, but, they find, also, The Light I’ m Waiting, in the shrill guitars with melodic arpeggios and tortured chorus. In more Speed, let us note instrumental Rising Of R’ Lyeh with his solemn agreements, his chorus and the virtuosity of his choruses, but also, very ardent Vision From Afar Another Representation which promotes all the musicians, notably, Mickael who sculpts good lines of bass with a lot feeling. In more melodic, they love with the space atmosphere of Astral Journey Through The Ether, opened up to women vocally, as well as with Distant Explorer Of Galaxies, endowed with a nice sung melody, or, still, The Loss And The End with its tuneful cannon, between female and masculine voice, put down on bottom of arpeggios. Finally, the group gives us a very personal version of the progressive standard of the purpose of Sixties, the very famous In The Court Of Krimson King, composed by the mythical English training, I named King Crimson.
In short, here is a CD, epic in the very present lyricism, which, with its complex musical structures, extrapolated by numerous changes of rhythms, would have been able to make a good concept album. If you like the symphonic keyboards, guitars with a filling, powerful rhythmics, heavy atmosphere, and, celestial melodies, you let take by this energetic and wild wave taken out from the depths of the abime.
