[EXCLUSIVE]

Skam continue to wear their influences on their sleeves – from Sabbath and QOTS through Foo Fighters, AC/DC, the fuzziest of the grunge era bands and even some cosmic Prog breakdowns. All tied together with their own, wickedly infectious grooves.

The band ended 2013 on a real high finishing at #30 in Classic Rock Magazines fan voted Tracks Of The Year list; http://www.classicrockmagazine.com/features/songs-of-the-year-top-50/ – The track – ‘Massacre’ – taken from their debut album ‘Its Come To This’ saw them feature in among the likes of Black Sabbath and Motorhead. No mean feat for a self-funded, self-motivated, self-everything , DIY to the core band who have been given great support already from the fine people

The new record has been produced by Matt Ellis who was of course at the helm on the debut long player. That record, with its two killer singles; No Lies and Massacre captured the rawness, the depth and the sheer no nonsense good times that Skam also bring to their live shows. It was something the band were keen to keep in the mix. “The New SKAM album is a culmination of 2 years on the road and our desire to just put out the music we love. We have a huge array of different influences and we don’t hide behind them. We are ROCK fans. It’s that simple. Between us we have a deep love for nearly all guitar driven rock!” – Matt Gilmore
