This white-hot Mötley Crüe performance, recorded at a fantastic gig in Pasadena’s then premier rock venue – the legendary Perkins Palace – during the winter of 1982, superbly illustrates why the band would soon become one of rock’s biggest-selling glam metal acts with worldwide sales in excess of 75 million records.
Mötley Crüe had only been founded by the rhythm section – bassist Nikki Sixx and drummer Tommy Lee – in the year prior to this concert in Los Angeles. To front the band the duo eventually recruited Bob Deal aka Mick Mars (lead guitar) and Vince Neil (vocals).
