“Strawbs” – British rock band formed in 1964 by singer, guitarist and author Dave Cousins. Novice musicians as propagadisty English folk music, but gradually moved into the camp of progressive rock, while retaining an interest in folk music and, soon becoming one of the few prog bands, close to the borders of folk-rock. With the arrival in 1972 of Dave Lambert Group, tightening sound came out at the peak of his career. Not accidentally, namely “Strawbs” became the first group of Rick Wakeman, whose folk, classical and rock art have always been inextricably linked.
