ZAMARRO, Swiss, play hard rock! Never heard of the combo. The Swiss have already recorded two albums with star producer Jack Endino in the past. This time, the third string, but entrenched it is no longer in Seattle (US) but in the idyllic Gelterkinden (CH) to share with producer (and more recently plate Boss) VO Powder (GURD) einzustonern a dose of “dirty power”!
The Swiss trident tried on the twelve songs a kind of balancing act between the street cred of Stoner Rock and facile consumption of Melodic Rock / Metal to suggest that in the first half of the album really works well and tasty. Like in the known for the Swiss general lethargy are that there does not have to remain peck at each track of tire rubber on the asphalt, sometimes it also does a bit restrained approach. Dirty and Dusty is the third album from Basel but still. Dirty, smeared with oil thunder tracks like the opener “Burning Hearts” or the catchy suspects “Off We Go” on the road, desert rock in the Alps robe or something like that. With continuation of forty minutes, however, a track can be ZAMARRO too predictable, the song structures are similar but vastly and a track you miss on album distance the engine howling, as some misfire (stoner rock) aggregate has yet so in this V8 crept in.
“Dirty Power” sounds without doubt, fiery, energetic and at times (for Swiss) also extremely brave, but quite the trio could not take the the Confederates angela constant clumsiness. Still, good for cruising as a soundtrack to early summer Lichen about “dirty power” without question!
