Is that all? This question I ask myself when, after of sixteen minutes, the listening experience is complete. Heart Of Chrome from Pforzheim thus give themselves rather spartan, although in the accompanying letter her work “Get Naked” is announced as an album.
Nevertheless, only five tracks find out which are dealt with in the same period in which I have read and band biography. In the bonus material there is immortalized on the CD song “776018″, this time as a music video.
My first impression is that it is difficult to sound like glam rock of the 70s. Unfortunately, there is little in the songs distinguishing features – to uniformly listens to everything. While here and there come short breaks to use, but still I will not shake the feeling that it is basically a lack of variety. The music is played very well, no doubt. Singing like guitar solos fit perfectly with the style of the band, but I miss the highlights. There is no piece below, which can be particularly emphasize. Even the intro to “Rock Me, Shock Me” and “Thunder And Rain”, the two songs that exceed the noise limit of three minutes running time, pull out anything. The intros are too short to build tension and fly regardless of nowhere. Since the Quartet will have to pay a lot to learn the hard way, but practice makes perfect and perhaps stimulate my thoughts to incorporate changes in future works.
All five songs go by pretty fast pace to the point. Perhaps a ballad would have been nice to show another facet of the band. Thus, and in view of the shortness of the songs are “Get Naked” sounds as if it were the musicians in a hurry. No sooner is a song about to get stuck in the ear and memorize therefore, the work is already over.
If you like classic rock of the past decades, for the Heart Of Chrome are a good choice. Large claims should not make the listener, however. Me, the band has not yet convinced. Perhaps the quartet still needs some experience to meet with the next album rather the mark.
