The São Paulo band recorded the album in Denmark with producer Tommy Hansen renowned, who has worked with the Germans Helloween. The Mad Old Lady walks quite busy. After the recent shows in major cities in the country, the group is grappling with his new album Power Of Warrior.
The work marks the new line-up, created three years ago by singer Eduardo Parras, which now has Fernando Giovannetti (bass), Timo Kaarkoski and Tiago de Moura (guitars), Guga Benedict (drums) and Rafael Agostino (keyboards). Power Of Warrior Mad Old Lady re-recorded songs from their debut album, Viking Soul, released in 2013. The intention was to give more weight and new look to the repertoire. Altogether there are ten tracks: Viking Soul, Too Blind To See, Prison, My Heart, Power Of Warrior, Far Away, Mad Train, Glance In The Dark, King and Someone.
The Power Of Warrior recordings took place in June at Jailhouse Studio in Denmark, the renowned producer Tommy Hansen, who has worked with bands like Helloween, Pretty Maids and TNT.
The group decided to record at Hansen studio because the producer has digital recording equipment (Pro Tools HD3 Accel system 96) and Analog (24-channel tape recorder).
The launch of Power Of Warrior is scheduled for October in digital format, CD and a limited edition vinyl. The international market is in Mad Old Lady sights. The group plans a strong disc disclosure scheme abroad in 2015.
But while the disc does not come out, the Mad Old Lady goes on the road. This year, the group has made the opening acts of the Brazilian tour of the Finnish singer Tarja Turunen and the British group Marilion.
