The membership of The Windows was orginally sourced from a prior band called Raisin’ Kane which started life back in 1975. Larry Brewer was the catalyst for the change away from country rock to something more commercial. They were regional favourites throughout the southeastern parts of the USA during most of the 80’s, and had two stable line-ups during that time.
There are no southern rock influences to be found here I’m afraid. This is radio friendly stuff, which infuses power pop and radio rock to great effect. Think of bands like Eddie And The Tide, Steel Breeze and Avion and you’ve got a fair idea as to their style. Independently released and recorded in Ardent Studios in Memphis, the bands one and only album was produced by John Hampt
Featherstone was founded by songwriter/multi-instrumentalist/producer Rikard Quist in 2012. After writing for and playing with other bands like Gypsy Rose, Don Patrol, Last Autumn´s Dream, White Wolf and Bangalore Choir he decided to record some of his own original music. Collaborating with friend and singer Lars Boden, plus friend and heavy drummer Nic Österlund (Headplate), Featherstone was born. Lyricist Jon Wilde (who Rikard had written with previously) was also recruited as a member of the band.

Silver Horses are the band featuring Tony Martin (Black Sabbath) vocals, Gianluca Galli (Mantra – Time Machine) guitar, Andrea Castelli (Shabby Trick, Cappanera, Mantra) bass, and Matteo ‘Bona’ Bonini (MGRB) drums. The sound of the Italian-English band is Seventies influenced hard rock with a blues edge ala Zeppelin meets early Whitesnake. New reissue has been digitally remastered.
