The debut album from Finland’s Bad ManKeys is a straight ahead rock and roll album in the tradition of Gun N’ Roses et al and it’s a catchy one at that. Very catchy at times. ‘Down Go The Lights’ in particular will stick in your head for days, and the funky rhythms of the title track and ‘Mankey Love’ are full of swagger that you can’t help but love. They even get a little bit emotional on the undeniably lovely (if grammatically off) closer ‘Kiss Me Deadly’. But I’m not sure how much of what they are doing I should be offended by.

EVAN K is a 21-year old Greek/German guitarist & composer whose very melodic & memorable playing is fully displayed on Blue Lightning’s 9 tracks. Highlights include “Skies Of Shred,” “Into The Light,” “Orchestra Of Withered Clouds,” and a cover of the classic BLACK song, “Everything Is Coming Up Roses.” Evan is influenced by Gus G, Jeff Loomis, Andy James, Yngwie Malmsteen, John Petrucci, Uli Jon Roth, Michael Romeo, Gary Moore, Michael Schenker, and Ritchie Blackmore. He has just finished recording his debut album, Blue Lightning, which features some famous guests from the Power-Progressive Metal Scene like Fabio Lione (Rhapsody Of Fire, Angra, Vision Divine), who sings lead vocals on the songs “Edge Of The Sky” & “One Last Time,”
Brazilian KISS / Paul Stanley inspired singer / songwriter SEBASTIAN GAVA have released an album entitled “Uncensored” earlier this month. The album features a guest appearance by Bruce Kulick on “Love At First Bite”, which song is co-written by him. The album also contains a cover version of KISS’ “Magic Touch”. “Uncensored”is released as digital download, available to purchase at iTunes .
In 2009 Sebastian Gava released his first self titled solo album with Spanish lyrics, followed with an English version in 2010. Both releases features Bruce Kulick on a couple of songs too.
