This Japanese group (the name means “barking dog”) takes the melodic heavy metal rock in the style of Rush, Van Halen and Deep Purple – though, as their teachers they called Kiss (in the late ’70s, when Kiss came on tour Japan, Bow Wow was their “support band»), Led Zeppelin and Aerosmith while the basis of their compositions lay traditional Japanese melodies.
