Recorded in one take in Memphis Tennessee GI / PE Live showcases just how good this band is in a live setting and even at their advanced ages these guys can still deliver a great rock n roll show. Tommy Shaw’s voice has held up amazingly well, and James Young still is pretty close to his younger self as well. Lawrence Gowan is both an amazing vocalist and keyboard player giving this old material a fresh new approach. To me the band’s secret weapon these days is drummer Todd Sucherman.
