Named for the small, working-class factory town in New England from which they came, Massachusetts pop/rock quintet Waltham take a community approach to the often unforgiving music business. Their anthemic songs bring to mind ’80s hitmakers like Cheap Trick, the Knack, and fellow Bostonians the Cars. The band consists of vocalist Frank Pino, Jr., drummer Mike Rorick, bass player Peet Golan, rhythm guitar player Tony Monaco, and lead guitarist Craig Small.

Owain is a sludge metal duo from with the sound having heavy southern rock accents on guitar and metal styled percussion. Tijuana Mexico formed in 2015 by Anibal Flores (guitar and vocals) and Luis Astorga (drums and vocals). While the debut probably gets the edge as far as craftier melodies goes (not that this is lacking mind you), “Ambition” gets a slight nod as being more of what a progressive rock fan might want to hear. Every song is a gem in this collection, mixing poppy hooks, hard rock and intelligent proggy rock.

This is a superb remaster by Rock Candy. The reissue respects the original album cover featuring a band pic, in UK it was replaced by a jet with eagle wings, much better in my opinion (seen above).
A must have album for Pomp Rock fans and a classic for the genre.
