Arenia was born in 2009 as an evolution of the Asturian heavy metal band “Atlas” (2000-2008), with a new formation and a different stylistic orientation. The two founding members, Eduardo Dizy and Alejandro Fernández, along with keyboardist Raquel Rodriguez, recruited vocalist Fran J. Santos to start an epic / mythological power metal conceptual project, which will be called “mythical metal”. The formation was completed at the end of 2009 with the addition of bassist Roberto Suárez.<
