Glenn Hughes, undoubtedly The Voice Of Rock, came to prominence in Trapeze, a group which included future Whitensake guitarist Mel Galley, and Judas Priest drummer Dave Holland. Trapeze were on the brink of major Stateside success, when, in 1973, Glenn was offered the golden opportunity to play bass and sing with Deep Purple, joined by David Coverdale, for Burn, Stormbringer and Come Taste The Band. Glenn’s fourth solo album, Feel, was originally released in 1995, and found the singer veering towards more pop, soul and funk than the hard rock that he’s often better known for. Former Guns N’ Roses and Velvet Revolver drummer Matt Sorum guests, and the album also sees a welcome collaboration with his Hughes Thrall partner, Pat Thrall.
