Motivation Radio is the third studio album by British art rock musician Steve Hillage. Whilst touring in the United States in promotion of his previous album L (1976), Hillage grew disillusioned with the progressive rock tag attached to him by the media and fans, and disliked their attitude towards funk music, which Hillage was a big fan of. Hillage wanted to create a funk-influenced album as he was predominately listening to artists such as Funkadelic and Earth, Wind & Fire
Christian 80’s/90’s Rock, driving, upbeat, spiritual. New Jerusalem was formed in Joplin Mo during the height of Christian Rock bands coming onto the scene. It was formed by Maria C Curry and John Goswick originally as a worship band for college services on the MSSU campus. Both were students there in the late 80s and early 90’s and then added drummer Doug Wade, guitarist Shannon Workman, & bassist Randy Brasuell to fill out the sound and collaborate into what became a highly successful adventure of proclaiming their faith through music while having fun and working
