Founded by the British, blues-rock virtuoso guitarist Stuart Smith, the band HEAVEN & EARTH specializes in melodic hard rock in the spirit of DEEP PURPLE, RAINBOW and BAD COMPANY.
“Hard To Kill” is the fifth album of the band and all the songs with the excellent vocals of Joe Retta bring us back to the seventies. It seems that these songs have already heard, – well, they are very familiar.
I express my opinion that “Hard To Kill” is undoubtedly the best rock album of the past year.

Sweden, April 13th 13, Johan Pernrud (guitar / lead song) had enough of the current creative style and sought up Klas Svahn (drums) to seriously make a wish to try new ways. From this gathering came good things and shortly thereafter Jämmerdal emerged as a trio with Carl-Petter Berg (bass). Three-four songs soon saw the light of the day in the headquarters of Malmö’s entrepreneurial center and musical Mecka in the Annelund area. Johan Luyckx (guitar / backing vox) joined the band in October 13, and hard work on songwriting and recording of a five-song EP held Jämmerdal employed for most of 2014 and a bit into 2015. The band
Journeying through the songs, the content is well within the scope of the modern-day human. Relevant “everyday” struggles and happenings are expressed to relate to almost anybody/everybody. The band believes in the interpersonal relationships life has to offer and how to convey a truthful expression of life experience.

Since GH3 this franchise has been ran into the ground by Activision. Rock Band only had releases once a year, with main titles coming out every 2-3 years. the “Hero” games were coming out every 6-8 months that flooded the market when there wasn’t a demand for it.

Don’t know much about these guys, but great Heavy Metal/Hard Rock band, NWOBHM-type. CD production is flawless. The band’s raw energy, power-driven rock is rare in these days to be so tight and melodically strong with musical harmonies busting through the walls and ceiling.

One of my ALLTIME favorite bands, yet very underrated album that should have been bigger that what it was. They are a true gem of the 80’s if your into melodic rock. I would recommend this album to any true fan of the 80’s like myself. The song “She” is worth the price by just that song alone.
