The working relationship between the legendary keyboard player Keith Emerson and singer and multi-instrumentalist Robert Berry started in 1987. Iconic manager Brian Lane (Yes, Asia, A-Ha, It Bites etc.) and Carl Palmer arranged a meeting between the two prolific musicians.

The 2018 Retroactive Records release is a 2-CD Set featuring one CD of the USA recording and one CD of the European version of the recording. Mass started out in 1981 in Boston, originally calling themselves Axes. After the name change, they and released a self titled EP in 1984. 1985 saw the release of their first full length album “New Birth”. After the EP “Take You Home” (1988) they signed with the same record company that hosted Stryper and Barren Cross, this was said to be the next big white metal band. Greg Leon actually wrote the riff that became Ozzy Osbournes legendary tune “Crazy Train”. Randy borrowed it from Greg, Ozzy loved it, and then they wrote Crazy Train around it. The original Greg Leon version with this riff can be heard on the FnA Records release “Guitars, Cars, And A Woman”
Growing up, Greg Leon was inspired by the dawn of the 70’s Guitar-Heroes. He immersed himself in the 6-string prowess of Jimi Hendrix, Leslie West, Frank Marino, Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose, Rick Derringer, Pat Travers, Rory Gallagher, Danny Johnson, Johnny Winter and Ritchie Blackmore.

Ohio natives and best friends, Tommy Milan (vocals), and Jake Jackson (bass), set out to Hollywood, California, seeking fame and fortune on the ever popular Sunset Strip in early 1990.
