Stop the press! 2018 is not over and the last word is Venom. We are talking about Venom de Cronos. Demons … Are there others? The trio has been releasing one record after another since I do not even remember when, and it seems that no one pays attention to them. I knew they were going to get it back, but this Storm the Gates sounded like mediocre work that the label wants to get rid of at the end of the year, a very bad date. However, it has been a great and badass way to piss in the Christmas carols … while it manages to disrupt some lists that are already emerging with the best of the year; at least in mine already they have given a swipe to a few discs catching a place among the best. A new record of the contemporary Venom must be analyzed according to the sound they bring and the aim they have had with the chosen subjects, because the style and attitude (in general) is already known. This last incarnation of the group, which is approaching the 40th anniversary, has a clear vision of what they are and where they want to go.
