DVD9/Hughes interrupted his tour with Black Sabbath due to personal and creative problems (due to drug use, his voice sat down).

In 1987 he sang three tracks for the Phenomena II record, again worked with Threll, but the records were not published. As a backing vocalist, he recorded for Whitesnake (1989), in 1991 he experimented with Jeff Downs in the studio, and in 1992 collaborated with guitarist / vocalist Peter Norum.

The Early Days DVD set features an exhaustive, thoroughly complete history of the early years of Iron Maiden, from their humble beginnings in London’s East End in 1975 through their triumphant Piece of Mind album and tour in 1983.

The set features a large collection of rare videos and concert footage, as well as interviews with former members such as Kent Ewing, Doug Sampson, Terry Rance, Ron Matthews, Terry Wapram, and Bob Sawyer.
