PRICE-SULTON – Lights On (1986)

frontA project put together by ex-UTOPIA bassist / CHEAP TRICK keyboard player Kasim Sulton and the SCANDAL and BILLY IDOL drummer credited Thommy Price. The ‘Lights On’ album also featured the talents of guitarists, Elliot Easton (THE CARS) and Phil Grande, keyboard players Danny Louis and Tommy Mandel and a guest appearance from JOAN JETT. BILLY IDOL guitarist Steve Stevens helped out in some capacity as well.

Kasim Sulton, who also had a short spell in BLUE OYSTER CULT, was rumoured to have been in contention for the vacant bassist’s position in BON JOVI, the job going to longtime associate Hugh MacDonald in the finish. There’s a CD of “Ratt EP” [Atlantic Records Remix] including 2 extra tracks [Born On The Bayou (CCR live cover) & Nobody Rides For Free from Point Break soundtrack] but it’s a bootleg, not official.The one featured here is the real Japanese CD edition of 1987, much better sound quality.

And the Ratt 7” [1980 Self Released 7”, only 100 copies] is very, very rare. The sound quality isn’t the best, but we added it here for fans and collectors. Additionally, there’s two demos from the same era.
