Poison – Extended Versions 2016

The “Extended Versions” Live series was initially produced by BMG Special Products (the budget-price label imprint of music industry behemoth Bertelsmann Music Group, aka “BMG”) in the early 2000s as a way to re-purpose some of the dormant/out of print material in their extensive vaults, while also providing retailers with a variety of low-priced “rack filler” CDs.
When BMG merged with Sony Music a few years later, the series continued under the new company’s “CMG” (for “Custom Marketing Group”) imprint. Early BMG-only printings featured a subtitle on the front cover of each disc proclaiming that they were part of “THE ENCORE COLLECTION,” whatever that was. This distinction was dropped from subsequent Sony-era releases.

Country: France
Genre: Documentary
Duration: 01:00:00
Year of issue: 2013/2016

Gifted and iconoclastic musician, Frank Zappa also took a sharp look at his time. Through these rare and forgotten archives, Thorsten Schütte’s documentary draws an incisive portrait of a controversial rock star.
When, on December 4, 1993, Frank Zappa died, the world lost one of its most creative artists, but also one of its greatest provocateurs. Known for his sharp lyrics, regularly boycotted and censored by radio stations and the recording industry, the American composer and guitarist is among the most enigmatic and controversial figures in the history of 20th century music. Whether as a enfant terrible of rock with his group The Mothers of Invention,
