Back in 1998, the surprising thing about „Tales From the Darkside“ were the stylistic choices that were not restricted to European Heavy Metal or NWoBHM. WOW…an achingly beautiful return to form that could only be Mike Oldfield. I have followed his music since the beginning when I first heard the full length of Tubular Bells played on AOR / FM radio (remember when AOR radio was the norm?) For me, this is haunting and full of wonderful memories. Mr. Oldfield was & is a master composer whose concept has yielded so much great beauty.
