On November 6th Surma will release their debut longplayer The Light Within via Metal Blade Records. Moving, uplifting, dramatic: The Light Within presents Surma as one of the most moving symphonic metal bands in the current scene.
The 13 tracks of the 47-minute album sound as if they are one piece, while epic, confident stories unfold in music that is correspondingly expansive, but has been cast in relatively compact songs. “Our main message on this record is to give hope to all, no matter what he or she is struggling with” explains singer Viktorie Surmøvá, who is probably best known for her contribution to Bohemian Metal Rhapsody
