Martin Simson’s DESTROYER OF DEATH is a project featuring Rob Rock and CJ Grimmark. A modern take on classic melodic metal, the first single is packed with heavy rhythm guitars, searing solos and soaring vocals.
Martin Simson has been a mainstay musician in the Christian metal scene for decades, having played bass in several bands in Southern California in the ’80s. One of those bands were Quiet Riot labelmates, Conzo Fury. This historical foundation is good, because the dude is a good songwriter, as proved by this single, “Destroyer of Death.”

in 1995-1999 Lawton had a group called GunHill. In May 2000, Heepvention took place in London with Hensley-Lawton concerts based on Lawton’s group, and since 2001, regular performances of the Hensley-Lawton Band began.
At the end of 2000 Lawton released a solo album “Still payin ‘my dues … to the blues”, the songs from which were performed at concerts at the end of 2000. The Ohne Filter company filmed the concert on December 29, 2000 in Baden-Baden, Germany. Unfortunately, the video was never released on DVD, but then it was shown on the SWR3 channel. One of the fans recorded the program on VHS Hi-Fi, digitized it on a recorder and posted it on Daima, for which he is grateful. The special value is that most of the songs are from

After more than 25 years trying to mount or join different bands and try different formulas, I made the decision to record a solo album. An album written in Spanish and English and consisting of some songs that I have composed and kept in a drawer during the confinement between March and May 2020. It also includes songs composed in different episodes of my life.
The song “I will be there” that I composed for my daughter, is the one that ended up inspiring the idea of recording a solo album and of course including it.
