Description:
The appearance of the first DVD in Arena’s discography Clive Nolan and his comrades owe primarily to the people from the Polish label Metal Mind Productions, who filmed the band’s performance on April 11, 2003 at the Krakow TV Studio Krzemionki (which happened as part of the then “Contagion” tour). One can envy the ability of the label’s management to “breed” visiting guest performers for this kind of shooting, but in this case the team of video engineers worked no less professionally than the musicians themselves: the show was recorded in five-channel sound and with a decent picture in good angles. Arena played, of course, not only the material of the last album, but also early things – in general, not quite the greatest hits, but everything is very “at the box office”. Biographies of its members, a solid photo gallery and interviews with the founders of the group Clive Nolan and Mick Poynter are attached with useful bonuses to the three-hour performance of one of the main units of today’s British neo-progressive. The release is from the “a must have” category.
