Magnus Rising is a Canadian Heavy Metal band originally founded in 2002 in St. John’s, Newfoundland by guitarist Roger Cranford, vocalist Aaron Hawkins and bassist Matt Snow. They soon relocated to Vancouver, BC. where they found their drummer Nick James. Fires destroyed their rehearsal space in 2004, devouring $20,000 of equipment, but they still managed to record their self-titled EP within the year.
