Witchspëll – Witchspëll 2021

Witchspëll was founded in 2016 by four friends who decided to get together and play heavy metal in the city of Morelia in Mexico.

With their influences in classic heavy metal from the late 70s and 80s, Adrián Carbajal (Vocals/Guitars) and Daniel Luna (Drums) decided to get together to create the project. Later on, Harold Rentería (Bass) and Kevin Chavez (Guitars) joined the band, thus forming the first line-up of the group.

During the years 2016 to 2019 they start working on their first studio album, giving themselves some time in the summer of 2019 to record a five song EP prior to their debut, titled “Demons”, released on Halloween night of that same year.

By December 2019 they enter the studio to record their debut album, the namesake “Witchspëll”, released on April 30, 2020 during the coronavirus pandemic (with no songs from “Demons”).

Due to the pandemic, the album did not have a promotional tour, limited only to online distribution until 2021 when the physical release would be made official under the French label “Steel Shark Records”.

At the end of 2020, Daniel Luna decided to leave the band, with Jonathan Mora stepping in to fill in on drums.

As of today, the band is just releasing a new studio álbum on digital that could be later in the year again with Steel Shark Records

Current line-up:

Adrian Carbajal (Vocals/Guitars)
Kevin Chavez (Guitars)
