Steve Hillage first came to prominence as a member of the multi-national rock band Gong. Steve appeared on successful albums such as Angels Egg, You and his final album with the band Shamal. Steve recorded his first solo album in 1975 entitled Fish Rising. This album was recorded whilst still a member of Gong. Shortly after however, Steve and his partner Miquette Giraudy left Gong embarking on a career that continues to this day under the name System Seven.
In 1976 Steve recorded the album “L” with Todd Rundgren producing. The album was a huge success and Steve subsequently formed the Steve Hillage Band which included former Jethro Tull drummer Clive Bunker and future Camel bassist Colin Bass. The band made its live debut at the Hyde Park concert staged by Queen in September 1976. Following the live debut the band played numerous live concerts including a concert in Germany in early 1977 for German television. This performance is now captured on this DVD

The live video “For Those About To Rock…We Salute You: Monsters in Moscow” will be re-released on DVD on June 5. Released on VHS in 1992, the video features live concert footage from Metallica, AC/DC, Pantera, The Black Crowes and E.S.T. Monsters Of Rock held in Moscow on September 28, 1991. Metallica is represented by live performances of the songs Enter Sandman, Creeping Death and Fade To Black.

To complete SLEEZE BEEZ studio discography, here’s the Japanese Edition of “Insanity Beach“, the last album from this stupendous Dutch band. Dropped by Atlantic Records as happened after 1992 with all rock bands with melody, SLEEZE BEEZ continued as unit and determined to play the music they loved.
Recorded in the Netherlands with local crew – including Robby Valentine as Orchestra conductor – “Insanity Beach” saw the band toughen their sound. Many fans missed the glammy metal of their 1990 album, or the polished multi-layered sonics of previous effort.
But SLEEZE BEEZ never released the same album, never repeated themselves. And while the quality songwriting is still here, the sound production on “Insanity Beach” is rawer, in you
“Death On The Road” – a live recorded during the concert tour in support of the “Dance Of Death” album on November 24, 2003 at the large indoor arena Westenfalenhalle in Dortmund, Germany.
The full version of the release is a three-disc, DVD1 with LPCM 2ch sound, DVD2 with AC3 6ch sound and the third bonus disc, Australian version (barcode 0 94633 64379 6). Existing originally in the first half of the first decade of this century, Melbourne’s SWEDISH MAGAZINES were formed by Taswegian singer-songwriter guitarist Van Walker together with his brother Cal.
They played — and are about to play again — a varied and richly toned high-energy sound that mixed classic Bon Scott era-AC/DC with early ’70s Flamin’ Groovies and Sonic’s Rendezvous Band, with the occasional bit of The Sex Pistols and maybe Stiff Little Fingers for good measure. Or something like that.
They have great songs, a sick vocalist, and a hefty sound. In terms of contemporary comparisons, think Sweden’s Hellacopters with a bit more crazee and a lot more Oz Rock.
