Starchaser – a new band formed by former Tad Morose guitarist Kenneth Jonsson – has announced the upcoming release of a self-titled debut album on May 6, 2022. Initially the musical journey that Kenneth was on, was supposed to be a solo album, but morphed into a brand-new band after the chemistry between the players he was working with became apparent.
Vocalist Ulrich Carlsson (Shaggy, ex-M.ILL.ION), bassist Örjan Josefsson (Cibola Junction), drummer Johan Koleberg (Wolf, Therion, Hammerfall, etc.) and keyboardist Kay Backlund (Lions Share, Nils Patrik Johansson, Impera) round off the Starchaser line-up. Produced by T Bone Burnett, who also produced the film’s soundtrack, and held in New York City’s Town Hall, the concert features live performances of the film’s music, as well as songs from the early 1960s.
Some of the greatest folk musicians (Avett Brothers, Joan Baez, Dave Rawlings Machine, Rhiannon Giddens, Lake Street Dive, Colin Meloy, The Milk Carton Kids, Marcus Mumford, Punch Brothers, Patti Smith, Willie Watson, Gillian Welch, and Jack White) and the star of Inside Llewyn Davis Oscar Isaac assemble for one unique evening.
