Now ORANGO‘s band releases are concerned, the new album Mohican feels particularly warm, a thread of longing runs through the ten songs. Perhaps this is due to the period of transition and alienation the band was in during the songwriting process.
Enough songs had been written for three more albums, but during the pandemic the band saw little of each other, didn’t play gigs, and the tour in support of the “Battles” re-release was canceled due to the release coinciding with Norway’s lockdown. It felt like very dark and boring times. After some good times writing new songs, the band felt ready to pick up where they left off. ‘Mohican’ is an album full of good vibes and the recording sessions have been great throughout. Real band harmony!
