A US hard rock band in which Troy Luccetta (Dr), who later joined ERIC MARTIN BAND/TESLA, and Kevin Carlson (G), later of ALDO NOVA/UFO, were enrolled. Metallic Blue Records excavated/officially released the original studio work “Lipstick And Leather”, which had been shelved for 40 years, even though it was recorded.

A work full of powerful American hard tunes that coexist catchy and hard, including the famous songs “Lipstick And Leather” and “Do You Know” that Y&T later covered. Treasure item for US hard rock fans!

MERE MORTALS’ origins would begin as an enigmatic progressive hard rock band on the Upstate New York club circuit named LUFTWAFFE. It was the mid-Eighties, and leader / main songwriter Robert Acquaviva (later guitarist for melodic hard rockers TOURIS) decided to take the band in a new, more adult-oriented rock direction, focusing on keyboard-driven songs with catchy hooks and harmonies. Keeping with the same line-up, the band would change their name to MERE MORTALS.
