The idea to record a live album by NIGHTWISH appeared in the fall of 2000. It became a reality during the band’s New Year’s performance at the Pakkahuone club in the Finnish city of Tampere.
The concert was recorded on video and replicated on DVD and VHS. The Finnish fans of the band also received an additional gift: the full version of the concert on CD, which was released in a limited edition and only in Finland. All this was released under the name “From Wishes to Eternity – Live” and was sold in huge quantities.
