October 27, 2023 – Red Reign are not, despite their promise, reinventing any wheels with their debut album but the influences reach far and wide – from ’80s hair metal through AOR and more than a little ’70s classic rock – but apart from a couple of personal opinion missteps for me, it’s all done with style and more than a little spirit. It won’t change your world in the slightest but it might provide a pleasant soundtrack to some of it.
