Past month we featured the really cool solo album from guitarist Brian Durbin, an ode to ’80s metal / hair metal glory days. He’s a regular member as well of HAIRBANGERS BALL, the most successful Chicago based tribute band of the Sunset Strip rock n’ roll style.
Named with a wink to the famous classic MTV show Headbanger’s Ball, HAIRBANGERS BALL has been releasing standalone singles covering song from Warrant, Cinderella, Alice Cooper, Poison, etc, as well as original songs, and now are presenting “KISSmas EP’s“, their fun versions of KISS classics ready for the holidays. And they are darn good!
What started off as a “What If” idea quickly turned this band into one of the most sought after “80’s Hair Rock Tribute Bands” in the United States. Performing over 150 shows a year for 15 years says it all.
Hairbanger’s Ball provides both the music and the mayhem for young and old alike, bundled together in a 6-piece, high octane lineup. Featuring powerful male and female lead vocals, some serious ax grinding and renditions of classic songs so much like the original you’d swear you’d gone back in time, Hairbanger’s Ball delivers here their hot take on ‘Heaven’s On Fire’, ‘Lick It Up’, ‘Beth’, and more.
And yeah, there’s a Christmas heavy song as well in ‘Merry Xmas Everybody’.
