Mick Cox was the ex-Eire Apparent (one album produced by Jimi Hendrix) guitarist/song writer who played for many years with Van Morrison. In the early 1970s after playing in the touring band behind hit makers Arrival, Cox brought in Tony O’Malley, Frank Collins,Dyan Birch,Paddie McHugh from the band to add most of the lead and backing vocals to his eponymous album. Later that year the quartet co-formed Kokomo. The MCB album has a rock soul crossover sound akin to contemporary Joe Cocker Grease Band era and a touch of Delaney and Bonnie.
