After Blue Murder disbanded, JOHN SYKES formed his own eponymous band, SYKES. His debut record, “Out Of My Tree,” came out in 1995. For the release of this album, he will hold a promotional concert in Los Angeles and record material for TV and radio broadcast.
This was the very first SYKES concert, with a great line up including John (vocals, guitars), Marco Mendoza (bass, backing vocals), Tommy Osteen (drums, backing vocals) and Nick Green (keyboards).
This concert “Live In Los Angeles 1995“, featuring two tracks from the new album, songs from Blue Murder, Whitesnake, and Thin Lizzy, is an “Anthology of John Sykes” at this point, and is a must-have for John Sykes / all his former bands fans.
Unfortunately the recording never was officially released. There has been many bootlegs with different titles, however this is the best version we heard, with a very good sound quality.
