RIGGS – Riggs ’82 [Wounded Bird Records remaster] (2024 reissue)


One of the much criminally forgotten gems of the ’80s relegated (for years) to be released on CD was without a doubt RIGGS, the band founded by guitarist / vocalist Jerry Riggs. Fortunately, not so long ago the highly respected label Wounded Bird Records released for the first time on CD the band’s self-titled album “Riggs“, a must have in your ’80s Rock collection.

Hailing from Denmark, PUSH were one of the bands that kept the melodic hard rock flame alive during the Nineties / early 2000’s. The band now got the rights of all their albums and started by themselves a reissue campaign as most the CD’s are out of print.

We featured all PUSH reissues, and now the band is releasing “Rare Traxx 2000-2001“, a bunch of previously unreleased tracks. All these are strong songs, some outtakes and some pre-production demos – songs that didn’t make it into the albums track list as they needed to trim the running time.

TRAMP was a San Francisco bay-area band that exploded onto the hard rock world in the mid-80s. As part of the same local scene that launched Y&T, Metallica and Tesla among others, they went from unknown to headlining act in less than a year. Started by guitarist Phil Saunders in 1983 with vocalist Jeff Davis, the two shared a similar vision for melodic hard-rock / glam-pop band that focused on catchy songs and a dynamic live show.
