The band name is an abbreviation of the members names. It stands for “Chastain, Jinkens, Sharp, & Skimmerhorn”. Les Sharp’s later band BHS was named in the same way.
CJSS was formed by guitar wizard David T. Chastain during early 1984 with two other members of the band Spike, drummer Les Sharp and bassist Mike Skimmerhorn, and vocalist Russell Jinkens who had gained fame for his stint in local Cincinnati cover band Prizoner.

The Tavastia club in Helsinki is truly a location steeped in history. One album that also has a great history is Tales from the Thousend Lakes by the Finns Amorphis.

I think the strongest tracks on the EP are Them Jeans and In the Ground. I feel like if you were to pinpoint a song out of Revelry’s entire collection to exemplify them as a band to the max, Them Jeans would be in that zone. The bouncy swing of the rhythm section mixed with some heavy riffing gels so well, plus the great Peter Keys (Lynyrd Skynyrd) features on this track, giving it the extra spice that makes this a top-tier Revelry song.
