PRAYING MANTIS is one of the godfathers of the NWOBHM movement. Their “Time Tells No Lies” 1981 full-length debut is still considered as one of the most representative pieces of the genre / its more melodic side.

A few weeks ago we featured for the first time on CD the one and only album by RIGGS, their self-titled 1982 record, a very good slice of early Eighties American melodic rock.
Fronted by vocalist / guitarist Jerry Riggs (later Pat Travers Band co-lead guitarist / songwriter for many years) RIGGS recorded 2 songs for the iconic 1981 animated feature film Heavy Metal, also included on the movie’s soundtrack release.
