“Coliseum Rock” is the fourth and final studio album by American hard rock band STARZ, long time out of print and now reissued in remastered form by Dutch label Music On CD including 2 bonus tracks. This was their last album from their glorious era, featuring stupendous guitarist Bobby Messano (Joe Lynn Turner , Benny Mardones, Fiona).

This album is the jewel in their crown – Starz at their best: late ’70s hard rock with swathes of blues and funk influences flowing through it. The confluence of these sounds is channeled through the guitar heroics of Messano and twin guitarist Richie Ranno, and the epitome of a rock ‘n’ roll singer, Michael Lee Smith.

SLAUGHTER 1990’s debut album ‘Stick It To Ya’ resulted a big success, with the band relentlessplaying live for a year and a half, touring and/or doing dates with KISS, Poison, Whitesnake – just to name a few. Chrysalis Records even released a mini-album live ‘Stick It Live’ in 1990 too, to keep the band’s momentum.

‘Stick It Live’ is a very good showcase of Slaughter live, however it’s produced & mixed with a huge post-production job to make it sound big.
This ”Live From Electric Ladyland Studios” was captured 1991 at the famous New York studio of the same name, for a WNEW-FM broadcast. Many bands were part of these series, and SLAUGHTER performed several times there. The audience
