Anubis’ seventh studio album is a return to the narrative concept album format with a story of a young man’s fall into – and escape from – a religious cult called “The Legion Of Angels”. Told as he runs from the cult members and from the law across the American midwest;
the album echoes some of the musical influences that made the “230503” and “A Tower Of Silence” albums, as well as 2017’s “The Second Hand”. Presented as one single epic track split into ten parts over two sides of vinyl, this album is musically darker and moodier than its predecessor, 2020’s critically acclaimed “Homeless”.
