FEMME FATALE, one of the best melodic hard rock bands from the 80s with a fearless female lead singer in Lorraine Lewis, are thrilled to be releasing their 1988 live show from Normal, IL, where they opened for the solid and amazing Cheap Trick. Additionally, there are very good unreleased demos and a live cover of AC/DC’s ‘It’s A Long Way To The Top’.
“Demos + Live” is being released by FnA Records on silver pressed CD, remastered to obtain a very good sound quality.
The Femme Fatale Live performance shows a young and hungry band with lots of zeal, determination, and fire. They were hungry to connect with the audience and they enthusiastically responded back.
Lorraine Lewis says about the sound of this show; “Jeff Dunn (who did sound for Cinderella, BulletBoys, Jimmy Page, The Black Crowes), had a way of vocally mixing my voice; he had me front and center with a little reverb; I could play vocally with my range because of the fullness from the sound bouncing back at me.” Lorraine continues, “That’s why this show sounds so bad ass!”
There are six bonus tracks on the “Demos + Live” CD. Five are demos taped before FEMME FATALE recorded their terrific first album, rocking hot songs.
The demos are for the songs ‘Chains’ (which was in the movie Don’ Tell Mom The Babysitter is Dead), ‘Heat The Fire’, ‘Falling In And Out of Love’, ‘Rebel’ and ‘Fortune and Fame’. And we have an energetic take on AC/DC’s classic ‘It’s a Long Way to the Top’
