Melodic/Power Thrashers, Among These Ashes will release new studio album, “Embers of Elysium”, on December 6th, 2024, via Alone Records! The album clocks in at over an hour of music and features 12 new tracks, plus a bonus song, from the band.
Among These Ashes is a melodic power/thrash metal band hailing from Detroit, Michigan (USA). The band’s central focus is the creation of stellar, highly-memorable metal songs. The group’s sound is crushingly heavy and punctuated by cerebral arrangements, thought-provoking lyrics, and dynamic shifts in tempo and aggression. Among These Ashes’ debut musical offering, “Dominion Enthroned”, is a conceptual tour de force, inspired by modern societal parallels and struggles. Originally released independently, the record was later re-released under a single-album contract with Alone Records on vinyl and CD formats.
In April 2023, the band released an original single, entitled “The Enemy in I”, which lyrically chronicles the woes of self-destruction. The band recorded a cover of “Sirens” by Savatage as an accompaniment to this release. In March 2024, Among These Ashes independently released a cover of W.A.S.P. track, “Restless Gypsy”.
The band features Jean-Pierre Abboud (Traveler) on lead and harmony vocals, Dylan Hamann (Variform) and Richard Clark on lead and rhythm guitars, Kane Bochatyn on bass, and Kyle Wagner (Nethergate) on drums. Together, this line-up is committed to its vision of consistently delivering uncompromisingly heavy music to the metal hordes.
